Patient Selection, Patient Education, Documentation, Risk Management, Diagnosis & Treatment Planning
- Criteria for selecting the most conservative and appropriate treatment plans to meet patient needs and expectations in the following clinical scenarios:
- Single-tooth replacement
- Partially edentulous cases
- Fully edentulous cases
- Identify key components of the initial implant consultation, including:
- Available implant treatment options
- Indications and contraindications
- Case selection principles
- Relevant CDT codes and insurance considerations
- Financial arrangements and treatment coordination
- Clinical checklists and effective verbal communication skills
- Evaluate patient risk factors and determine appropriate implant cases based on the clinician’s level of surgical implant experience
- Define requirements and best practices for patient education, informed consent, informed refusal, and comprehensive clinical documentation
- Implement risk management protocols, including team training, systems-based care, and malpractice insurance considerations

Meet The Lecturer
Dr. Ihab M. Hanna
DDS, FAAID-DABOI
Dr. Ihab M. Hanna graduated, with honors, in 1994 from Cairo University. Afterwards, he spent three years in training and hospital residency before moving to San Francisco. He completed two years of General practice residency at the University of Illinois, as a chief resident, where he acquired additional training with the use of Dental Implants, sedation and special care dentistry.
With over 25 years of implant dentistry experience and faculty at several implant educational programs, Dr. Hanna has extended his skills and knowledge to the community through his implant study club where he supports general dentists in advancing their implant skills through hands on live surgeries further. Dr. Hanna is founder of the RWC Implant Study Club and is committed to sharing dental implant education to the general dentist community.
