Only 1 Spot Remaining for each Surgical Track
Bone Grafting and Implant Surgery: 7/24- 7/25/2025

Focus: Hands-On Live Surgeries
Duration: 2 Days
Continue Education Hours: 16 CE hours
Techniques Covered:
  • Crestal and Lateral Sinus Lift: Elevating the sinus floor for implant placement.
  • Ridge Expansion: Expanding the alveolar ridge to accommodate implants.
  • Carotta Graft: Using Carotta bone graft material for site preparation.

Surgical Track 2
Only 1 Spot Remaining for each Surgical Track
Soft Tissue Grafting: 7/24- 7/26/2025

Focus: Lecture, Workshop and Hands-On Live Surgeries
Duration: 3 Days
Continue Education Hours: 24 CE hours
Techniques Covered:
  • FGG (Free Gingival Graft): Grafting tissue to enhance gingival health.
  • CT (Connective Tissue) Graft: Using connective tissue grafts for improved soft tissue contours.

What Would You Learn

Objectives

After completing this course, the participant will be able to recognize:
Track 1

  • Case selection and indications of crestal versus lateral sinus lifts.
  • indications for carotta grafting versus Ridge Expansion
  • Practical experience in these procedures
  • Treatment planning and CBCT interpretation
  • PASS principles for predictable bone regeneration
  • Flap design and suture techniques
  • Alveolar ridge regenerative strategies
  • What is your choice ? Autogenous, Allogenic and/or Xenograft bone
  • Case selection and indications for sinus augmentation with vertical and lateral sinus approaches
  • Intra-oral sources for autogenous bone graft

What Would You Learn

Objectives

Track 2
Techniques Covered:

Learn how to harvest and place free gingival grafts to increase the width of keratinized tissue around implants and enhance peri-implant tissue stability and health.
Master the use of connective tissue grafts to improve soft tissue contours, achieve optimal esthetics, and treat gingival recessions with predictable root coverage outcomes.

  • What are gingival recessions and what are their types?
  • Can all types of gingival recessions be covered?
  • Can any implant surface coverage with recessions be achieved successfully?
  • Each participant will perform live gingival procedures on patients (FGG & CT graft)
  • What are other reasons to perform connective tissue grafts, even without recessions?
  • When should you use connective tissue grafts and when should you use a free gingival graft?
  • What are the harvesting techniques of connective tissue grafts (5 techniques)?
  • Which donor site is best for connective tissue grafts?
  • Best suturing techniques to stabilize the graft and minimize patient discomfort
  • How to manage the donor site? How to reduce pain and bleeding and improve patient acceptance?
  • What are the most predictable alternatives to using the patient’s own tissue?
  • What is the role of biologics in improving treatment outcomes? Is it just a hoax?

He completed the periodontal specialty training in Graduate Periodontics at the University of Michigan and the PhD at the University of Granada. He has been teaching as a full-time clinical faculty at the University of Michigan in the 2021-2022 academic year. He teaches topics related to periodontal/implant disease and implant therapy to graduate periodontal residents in the clinics and in the classroom. He also conducts clinical research focusing on peri-implantitis, periodontitis and short implants.

Dr. Ihab M. Hanna GP

Dr. Ihab M. Hanna GP

Implantologist (AAID/ABOI Diplomate)

Dr. Ihab M. Hanna graduated, with honors, in 1994 from Cairo University. Afterward, he spent three years in training and hospital residency before moving to San Francisco. He completed two years of General practice residency at the University of Illinois, as a chief resident, where he acquired additional training in the use of Dental Implants, sedation, and special care dentistry.

With over 25 years of implant dentistry experience and faculty at Hiossen’s implant education program, Dr. Hanna has extended his skills and knowledge to the community through his implant study club where he supports general dentists in advancing their education further.

Dr. Hanna is the founder of the RWC Implant Study Club and is committed to sharing dental implant education with the general dentist community.
